Meet Casey
As morning breaks, all Casey can think about is how great it would be if she could just lay in bed all day. Life has become a constant struggle, and it feels like a chore just to get out of bed and start her day.
“When was the last time I had a relaxing moment to myself or felt carefree with my family and friends?” But there was no time to think about that now; she had a lot to do!
Then panic struck
Casey managed to get ready and headed out the door. She wasn’t even 10 minutes from her home when it began… that strange feeling inside. “Oh no! Not now,” she thought.
Casey’s heart began to race, and her breathing quickened. She was terrified but had no idea why. “Is there something wrong with me? Maybe there’s something wrong with my heart! What if I’m dying? What if I crash?”
Palms sweaty, Casey wanted to pull over to the side of the road. She drove on thinking, “If it gets worse, I could drive to the hospital.” Then, she called her husband and distracted herself for some time. After she got off of the phone, she thought, “Why does this keep happening to me?”
And that wasn’t all
Along with these panic attacks, Casey found it hard to relax in general. She always felt nervous and never quite at ease around others. She constantly worried about what others thought of her and just felt overwhelmed with life.
Choose a new life now
I see many people like Casey who feel as though their anxiety is now taking control of their lives. It’s affecting work, relationships, and a sense of trust with their own body. Through therapy, they can learn tools in their first session that can be used immediately to begin calming the storm inside.
Like Casey, you may suffer debilitating panic attacks and want to take back control over your life. Or you may have other difficulties that are having a negative impact on your well-being.
